As per the Canons of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto, the corporation of the parish is made up of the Incumbent and two wardens, one appointed by the Incumbent and one elected by vestry (the yearly annual meeting of the parish members). They have responsibility for all matters related to the running of the parish and the management of our parish finances.
Parish Council is an advisory body that makes recommendations to the wardens on various issues, concerns and priorities in the life of the parish. Most of the parish organizations are represented on the parish council. Included are four members who are elected by vestry and four who are appointed by the Incumbent.
Vestry is the yearly gathering of the parish to discuss various facets of our congregational life and ministry. There are many reports, including a financial report and budget. Officers are elected to the various positions. As well, there are conversations about priorities and vision. This is the place where most important decisions in the life of the parish are made. The meeting is usually held on the last Sunday of February.
