Music plays a central role in the worship life of Anglican liturgy. St. George’s has a long tradition of fine music. We try to balance both traditional hymns and other alternative music arrangements.
St. George’s principal musical instrument is a 3-manual, 62 stop Phoenix digital organ. It plays through 16 channels of audio and has four separate and independent stop specifications. The church sanctuary also houses a wonderful Yamaha C3 grand piano. The church’s architect firm did a superb job on the acoustical design of the sanctuary.
Our AAAWE musicians lead music on the third Sunday of each month and include guitar, flute and percussion. If you play an instrument, you are encouraged to join us as we continue to expand our musical range. Please speak with our Music Director, Michael Leach, or join us in the Chapel at 9:45 on Sunday mornings for rehearsal.
